The new Harley-Davidson X440 has made his debut in India. Prices start at Rs 2.29 lakh for the base Denim model and go up to Rs 2.69 lakh for the top-spec S variant.
The X440’s engine is an air-/oil-cooled, 440cc single-cylinder with 27hp at 6,000rpm and 38Nm of torque at 4,000rpm.
The motor is housed on a steel trellis frame, supported by a 43mm USD fork and twin shock absorber arrangement. A 320mm front rotor handles braking duties, and dual-channel ABS is standard.
The HD X440’s seat height is a modest 805mm, weighing 190.5kg with its 13.5-litre fuel tank fully brimmed.
The bike has plenty of ground clearance at 170mm and rides on new MRF Zapper Hyke tyres in sizes 100/90-18 (front) and 140/70-17 (rear).
Variants of Harley-Davidson X440:
The base Denim model of the X440 has wire-spoke rims and little badging, whilst the mid-tier Vivid variant has alloy wheels and dual-tone paint options.
The top-spec S model has diamond-cut alloy wheels, machined engine cooling fins, 3D badging, and a colour TFT panel with Bluetooth connectivity for navigation and notification alerts.
The Denim variation is also available in Mustard Yellow, a yellow tank on a black bike.
The Vivid variant is available in Metallic Thick Red or Metallic Dark Silver, while the top-spec S variant is only available in a stealthy Matte Black.
All variations include a USB charging port as standard.
The price range:
The Denim model of the X440 costs Rs 2.29 lakh, with each subsequent variant adding Rs 20,000 to the price. That implies the Vivid costs Rs 2.49 lakh & the top-spec S costs Rs 2.69 lakh.
The Harley-Davidson X440 costs around Rs 35,000 more than the evergreen Royal Enfield Classic 350 (Rs 1.93 lakh-Rs 2.21 lakh) at this pricing.
