New every day COVID: According to Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday. 19 cases in India fell below 20,000 after 51 days, bringing the total virus tally to 4,28,22,473, while active topics fell 2,24,187.

A total of 19,968 cases were reported in a single day, bringing the death toll to 5,11,903 with 673 new fatalities, according to data updated at 8 a.m.

The total number of doses allocated in the country as part of the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive has surpassed 175.37. On August 7, 2020, India’s COVID-19 tally reached 20 lakh. Followed by 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, also 50 lakh on September 16.

It surpassed 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11. 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20, and one crore on December 19.

Last year, India passed the two-crore mark on May 4 and the three-crore spot on June 23.

Of the 524 deaths reported in Kerala, 16 occurred in the last 24 hours, 96 happened in the previous days. But were not chronicled due to late receipt of documents. And 412 were designate as COVID-19 deaths after receiving appeals based on the Centre’s new guidelines and the Supreme Court’s directions. So far, 5,11,903 deaths have been report in the country, including 1,43,576 in Maharashtra, 64,053 in Kerala, 39,777 in Karnataka. 37,977 in Tamil Nadu, 26,097 in Delhi, 23,426 in Uttar Pradesh, and 21,119 in West Bengal.
