Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has warned that Pakistan is heading for disaster and that the country may disintegrate, accusing the Shehbaz Sharif government of plotting a plot to pit the army against his party.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) head claimed that elections were the best way to address political insecurity.

“The PDM leaders and Nawaz Sharif, who is on the run in London, don’t care if the country’s constitution is violated, state institutions are destroyed, or even the Pakistan Army gets a bad reputation.” “They are only interested in saving the looted wealth,” he stated.

“I have a terrifying dream in which the country is on the verge of disaster.” “I appeal to the powers that be to allow the elections to take place so that the country can be saved,” Imran Khan concluded.

Imran Khan called the disturbance that followed his detention from the Islamabad High Court premises on May 9 a “pure conspiracy.”

“It is past time for the powers to reconsider, or else the country will face a situation similar to that of East Pakistan,” he warned.

Imran Khan defended his criticism of Pakistan’s army, saying, “When I reprimand the army, it is as if I am criticising my children.”

I have consistently indicated that I do not intervene in the internal affairs of state entities. When I received confirmation that the former army chief was plotting against me, I did not intervene.”

The former prime minister also mentioned a recent survey that revealed that 70% of Pakistan’s population supported his party.
