Trump’s merit-based immigration system in works confirms the White House.

The White House US President Trump is open to working with Congress on a negotiated legislative solution to DACA.

The White House has officially confirmed that US President Donald Trump is working on an executive order to form a merit-based immigration system. Donald Trump, in an interview with Telemundo News Channel, said he is working on an executive order that will revamp the immigration system by including a “road to citizenship” for recipients of the DACA, i.e. Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. The White House confirmed the same post this interview.

It will be a merit-based bill including DACA, says Trump:

In the interview, Trump said,” It is going to be a very big bill, a very good bill, and a merit-based bill and it will include DACA, and I think people are going to be very happy.” President Trump further added,” One of the aspects of the bill is going to be DACA. We’re going to have a road to citizenship”. The newly planned strategy was described as a mistake by Senator Ted Cruz as parts of his camp criticized the move.

The White House confirms brewing of new merit-based immigration reforms:

The White House in a statement confirmed the news and said,” As the President announced today, he is working on an executive order to establish a merit-based immigration system to further protect US workers. Furthermore, the president has long said he is willing to work with the Congress on a negotiated legislative solution to DACA, one that could include citizenship, along with strong border security and permanent merit-based reforms.”

Trump says he will bring reforms in the immigration policy:

President Trump in his interview also alleged the Opposition of breaking the deal with him on DACA which could have initiated the changes in DACA two years ago. Trump said by the powers given by the Supreme Court, he will bring reforms in the immigration policy.
