World Record Created the fastest highway prepared Vadodara-Mumbai Express Highway passing through Bharuch.

While the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway is currently under construction, four records have been set in the Golden Book of World Records to construct the road in Bharuch, Gujarat. On the Menubar-Sampa-Padra road section of Bharuch, a record of 2 km long road has been constructed in 24 hours.

Four different records were recorded in 24 hours

  1. The first record was the highest production of 14641.43 cubic meters of cement concrete
  2. Another record was the use of 14527.50 cubic meters of cement concrete
  3. The third record was the construction of an expressway one foot thick and 18.75 meters wide
  4. The fourth record was set to spread the highest rigid pavement quality over the largest area

Observer of the Golden Book of World Records, Dr Manish Vishnoi, said that this operation has been made possible only by planning and harmonizing with a pavement quality concreting machine for 24 hours continuously, for which it has been noted in the world records. The expressway is built at about 15 feet above the ground. 4 World records are recorded in the Golden Book of World Records and India Book of Records.

All the world record highways are registered for the work done in 24 hours by Patel Infrastructure, a leading Vadodara-based maintenance company. This work will be a milestone of the country, a benchmark for the whole world, said Arvind Patel, MD, Patel Infrastructure Ltd.

 This is a great achievement in the field of road construction in India. This record, which cannot be broken in 15 to 20 years, is a milestone in the world. A benchmark has been set for the people. The plant produces 840 cubic meters of cement concrete per hour.

Patel Infrastructure has awarded a contract to construct a 63 km section of Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway at Rs 1712 crore, which is constructing a 63 km road from Sapa village in Karjan to Nabipur Kim section in Bharuch taluka. The agency is to complete the operation in two years. The road will then have to be maintained and operated for the next 15 years.

Nitin Gadkari was welcomed at the place of record.

The use of 62000 dowel bars to reinforce the iron has resulted in a 2.1 kg 32 mm dowel bar (iron rod) being drilled every 4.5 meters while paving the way for the strengthening of the highway.

 As many as 62,000 dowel bars and tiebars are dug both horizontally and vertically. The company said the road was dug as part of iron reinforcement.

1250 people worked 24 hours for road records

  • 115 Tippers truck used for cargo
  • 300 people worked in the mechanical department
  • 250 people worked in the production unit
  • 1,50,000 litres of HSD (high-speed diesel) was used
  • 500,000 kilograms of ice were used
  • 1,30,000 kg dowel bar-Tiber used
  • 5000 tons of cement used in this operation
  • 1500 tons of fly ash were mixed
  • 80000 kg mixer was used

What is the peculiarity of the road?

The expressway that is to pass through Gujarat and its construction is currently underway. This road is being constructed in a slightly different way from the normal road. The road, which is constructed at the height of 15 feet from the ground, is constructed in five different phases.

  • First, the ground is levelled.
  • A layer of 500 MM subgrade mixer is spread.
  • A granule subbase of 150 mm is formed.
  • A 150 mm dry link is spread over the concrete.
  • Last layer of pavement quality concrete of 300 MM (300 MM = 1 ft)
  • The expressway is being built 15 feet above the ground

One such machine of Rs 20 crore is used for road construction.

A concrete layer machine is used to make 16 meter wide expressways all over the world.
