Gujarat Chief Minister Inaugurates First Bonsai Show in Ahmedabad

The Gujarat Chief Minister inaugurated the Bonsai Show today, which is located on Sindhu Bhavan Road in the city of Ahmedabad.

This marks the first-ever bonsai show organized by the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC), following the remarkable success of the flower show held earlier this year in January. The exhibition, spanning over 12,000 square meters, welcomes visitors until March 10.

Showcasing Nature’s Beauty in The Bonsai Show:

The Bonsai Show boasts a diverse collection of approximately 1500 bonsai and topiary plants, ranging in age from 10 to 200 years. Inspired by the tranquility of Zen Gardens, the exhibition provides a serene environment for attendees to appreciate these meticulously cultivated trees.

Among the showcased species are Olive, Ficus, Adniyam, Vad, Piplo (sacred fig), Khati Ambli, Nikadevia, Zed plant (Jade), Pipal, Gugal, Legastomiya, and Albizia (Alfijiya), among others. Visitors can gain entry to the exhibition with a ticket priced at Rs. 50.

Diverse Attractions at the Exhibition:

The exhibition offers an immersive experience with over 120 exotic plant species. From bonsai trees aged between 1 and 150 to a collection of more than 1000 plants, attendees can explore the meticulous artistry behind each creation.

Additionally, the exhibition features a Zen garden and a cactus garden, providing tranquil respites amidst the vibrant displays. Fruit-bearing plants, exquisite designer topiaries, and serene water features further enhance the allure of this botanical extravaganza.
