As the second wave of Corona has come to an end in the state, one control decision after another is being taken by the government. In addition, the state government has announced a one-hour reduction in night curfew in 8 metros as soon as street Garba is approved for Navratri shortly. 

According to a Home Department announcement, a curfew has been imposed in eight cities of the state from 12 noon to 6 am from today to October 10. The announcement is till October 10, and Navratri starts from October 7, but a new announcement is likely to come from the fourth Norte so that the Garba time can be up to one o’clock at night.

These decisions have been taken in an important meeting held by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel with Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi, in which 8 metros of the state Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Surat, Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Jamnagar and Gandhinagar are currently under curfew from 12 noon to 10 pm tomorrow. In addition, a curfew will be in place every night until 6 pm.

400 people allowed in the street Garba on Navratri.

The night curfew limit of 400 people in Sheri Garba is currently from 11 pm to 6 am, reduced by one hour and will now be a curfew from 12 noon to 6 pm. Given the upcoming Navratri celebrations in the state in the coming days, the Chief Minister and the Minister of State for Home Affairs have decided to allow only Sheri Garba, Society and Flat Garba, Durga Puja, Vijayadashami Utsav, Sharadpurnima Utsav within a limit of 400 persons.

 Commercial celebrations of Navratri will not be allowed in party plots, clubs, open spaces or anywhere in the state.

Exemption for 400 people

at weddings, The limit of 400 people at weddings has been increased to 400 people. Everyone attending such celebrations should take two doses of the corona vaccine. Such plans will have to comply with Supreme Court orders regarding loudspeaker/sound control. The funeral-burial will now have a limit of 100 people, increasing the previous limit of 40 people.

The restaurant can be maintained at 75%.

Curfew was relaxed at Janmashtami and Ganesh Chaturthi festivals.

The Gujarat government had earlier announced a relaxation of night curfew and other restrictions in the state as per the guidelines and SOP on Corona regarding festivals like Janmashtami and Ganeshotsav. 

He said that the curfew would be in force at 1 pm on Janmashtami day and from 12 noon to 6 am during the ten days of Ganeshotsav. However, during Ganeshotsav itself, the new government had reduced the night curfew to 8 metros from 11 am to 6 pm.

However, required service/activities will continue without any control.

  • The service directly associated with the operation of COVID-19 and the services associated with the essential/immediate service will continue.
  • Medical, paramedical and ancillary health services.
  • Oxygen production and distribution system.
  • Dairy, Milk-Vegetable, Fruit-Fruit Production, Distribution and Sales and Home Delivery Service.
  • The vegetable market and fruits market will continue.
  • Grocery, bakery, sale of all kinds of food items and all online services for selling.
  • Cereal and spice grinding bell.
  • Household tiffin services and take away facility services from hotels/restaurants.
  • Internet / Telephone / Mobile Service Provider / IT and related services.
  • Print and electronic media, newspaper distribution.
  • Petrol, Diesel, LPG / CNG / PNG Related Pumps, Operation of Production Unit, Port of Loading, Terminal Deposits, Plants and Related Transportation, Distribution and Repairing Services.
  • Post and courier service.
  • Private Security Service
  • Services related to animal feed, fodder and animal medicine and treatment.
  • Production, transportation and supply management of agricultural operations, pest control and other essential services.
  • Interstate, interdistrict and intercity transport services and related e-commerce services.
  • All manufacturing / industrial units and raw material supplying units will continue, and transportation for their staff will continue. In the meantime, strictly follow the COVID-19 guidelines.
  • Construction activities will continue, during which COVID-19 guidelines will have to be strictly followed.
  • During this period, the bank management will have to ensure that the money supply in the ATMs is maintained continuously.
  • All should strictly adhere to face cover, mask and social distinguishing.
  • The concerned Police Commissioners / District Magistrates will have to issue a notification under the provisions of Cr.PC and Gujarat Police Act for the implementation of this order in their jurisdiction.
