Union ministers participated in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ bike rally on Friday in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan area as part of the impending Independence Day celebrations.

The rally, which marks the campaign’s second edition, was launched by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar and travelled along Mathura Road, Bhairon Road, India Gate, and the Pragati Maidan tunnel.

The Har Ghar Tiranga rally:

Kishan Reddy was seen grasping the bike handle and riding in the video by news agency ANI, while Anurag Thakur sat behind him, holding the Indian flag.

During the rally, ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ chants were heard. Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje, a Karnataka native, also participated in the bike rally.

On the occasion of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,’ which marks 75 years of India’s independence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign on July 22.

He stated that the date is important in history because it coincides with adoption of the national flag.

In a tweet announcing the campaign, Modi said it would “deepen our relationship with the national flag.”

Hoist the tricolor flag at your home:

The campaign invites all people of the country to fly the tricolour flag at home, and the second edition will be held on the same dates as the previous year, from August 13 to August 15.

On August 15, India will celebrate 76 years of independence.
