A Delhi court has issue a notice to the ED regarding a ‘leaked’ video of Satyendar Jain receiving massage in jail.
Delhi court: Just hours after the BJP released a video of AAP minister Satyendar Jain receiving a massage in jail. His legal team filed a contempt petition against the ED, claiming that the video was “leaked.”
On Saturday, Delhi court Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court issued a notice to the Enforcement Directorate (ED). After AAP minister Satyendar Jain’s legal team file a contempt of court petition alleging that CCTV footage of him receiving a massage inside the jail was leak. According to Jain’s legal team, the ED “leaked” the CCTV footage in violation of the undertaking it gave in court.
The court questione the investigation agency on how the video was leak despite its undertaking.
Special Judge Vikas Dhull served the ED with notice and scheduled a hearing for November 21.
The BJP had earlier released an old video of Satyendar Jain getting a massage in a Tihar jail cell. According to Tihar Jail sources, the video is old, and the authorities have already taken action against the officers and jail staff involved.
The video reignited the debate over the ED’s earlier claims that Satyendar Jain was receiving VIP treatment inside Tihar jail, including head massage, foot massage, and back massage. The financial investigation agency also presented evidence to a court regarding the Delhi minister’s “luxurious life” in jail.
On May 30, a 58-year-old Delhi minister was arrest concerning an allege money laundering case.
