PM Modi Campaign Schedule for Lok Sabha Elections in Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up for a two-day campaign blitz in Gujarat, commencing on Wednesday, May 1.

This strategic move precedes the pivotal third phase of the Lok Sabha elections slated for May 7. With plans to traverse 11 Lok Sabha constituencies, PM Modi aims to galvanize support through six public meetings.

Public Meetings Agenda:

According to reports, these public gatherings are scheduled to be held in key locales such as Anand, Wadhwan (Surendranagar), Junagadh, Jamnagar, Deesa (Banaskantha), and Himmatnagar (Sabarkantha).

Additionally, PM Narendra Modi is anticipated to headline a roadshow in Vadodara, further amplifying his outreach efforts.

Voting Dynamics for Lok Sabha Elections:

Come May 7, voting fervor will engulf 25 out of 26 constituencies in Gujarat. Notably, the Surat constituency is exempt from polling, as BJP’s Mukesh Dalal clinched an uncontested victory following the Election Commission’s disqualification of two Congress nominees.

The electoral landscape witnessed significant shifts as eight other candidates, primarily independents, alongside Pyarelal Bharti from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), retracted their nominations from Surat, effectively bolstering BJP’s electoral prospects.

BJP vs. Congress Campaign Dynamics:

In a spirited contest, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spearheaded BJP’s campaign on Monday, advocating ardently for a third consecutive term.

Shah’s address underscored the promise of combating terrorism and Naxalism under PM Modi’s leadership.

Congress Counter-Strategy for Lok Sabha Elections:

Contrastingly, the Congress initiated its Gujarat campaign last week, culminating on May 5, just two days before the polls.

Notable campaign events included Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s rally in Dharampur and Rahul Gandhi’s address in Patan, rallying support for party stalwarts Anant Patel and Chandanji Thakor, respectively.
