Ram Charan Fan Breaches Security at Peddi Promo Event, Startles Janhvi Kapoor

A promotional event for Ram Charan’s much-anticipated sports drama Peddi took a dramatic turn in Vijayawada when an overzealous fan broke through security barriers and rushed towards the actor on stage. The sudden intrusion left co-star Janhvi Kapoor visibly shaken, drawing widespread attention after videos of the incident circulated rapidly on social media.

Bodyguard Kevin Kunta steps in

The fan, who had notably styled his hair to resemble the actor’s, managed to get alarmingly close to the stage before security intervened. Ram Charan’s personal bodyguard, MMA fighter Kevin Kunta, swiftly pulled the intruder away. As security personnel swarmed the area, Janhvi Kapoor was seen flinching and visibly unsettled. Despite the tense atmosphere, the situation was quickly brought under control.

In a lighter turn, the fan was later permitted to meet Ram Charan, and was seen touching the actor’s feet in gratitude. The interaction won praise online, with many commending Kevin Kunta and the security team for their swift and professional handling of the situation at such a large public gathering.

Peddi gears up for a strong box office run

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced under Vriddhi Cinemas, Peddi features Ram Charan alongside Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Boman Irani, and Divyenndu. The film opened in theatres on June 4. Advance bookings showed strong momentum, with the Telugu version alone selling over 78,000 tickets ahead of release. US premiere sales approached $800,000, while overseas rights were reportedly sold for approximately ₹34 crore.
